The EdgeWild Players present three one-act plays:
The Wasp’s Nest by Agatha Christie, directed by Valerie Sobrack
Performed as a “traditional” play with sets and costumes, Agatha Christie's clever Hercule Poirot is out to solve a mystery before it happens. Will his famous sidekicks Hastings and Inspector Japp be there to help? What is the crime? Who’s in danger? Poirot fans know he never walks away from an unsolved mystery...
The Hitch-Hiker by Lucille Fletcher, directed by Valerie Conner
Performed in the style of a radio broadcast, this thriller is about a man who keeps seeing the same hitchhiker as he drives across the country... even though the hitchhiker can’t possibly be keeping ahead of the driver. The driver soon goes from worried to obsessed. What happens next? Come find out!
Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher, directed by Patricia Feld
In this radio drama/play hybrid, a woman is confined to her bed and trying to call her husband. But instead of hearing his familiar voice on the phone, she hears two men plotting the murder of a woman who is home alone... Orson Welles allegedly called this the greatest radio script ever written. Come to the show and decide for yourself!
