Forests to Savannas: The Taxidermy of Jeff Elich
The Edge Center Gallery presents Jeff Elich’s taxidermy, on exhibit during June 2026. Jeff has been providing customized services to his clients in the Bovey-Grand Rapids area and participating in competitions for over 35 years. Jeff has received five state taxidermy championships in the Masters Division, and two WASCO Awards for Most Artistic Entry, presented to the most artistic piece in a taxidermy competition and judged based on tasteful and professional display, original creativity, and artistic merit. He uses his artistic vision and acute attention to detail to provide realistic posturing and mounting for species ranging widely in size and geographic origin. Backgrounds are designed based on the natural habitat the specimen came from. Jeff provides taxidermy services to the Bovey and Grand Rapids areas, and handles all sizes and types of specimens, “from weasels to elephants.”
Specimens from North America and Africa will be featured in this wildly unexpected exhibit. The Edge Center Gallery will be open to the public Thursday-Saturday, from 10am-4pm. Exhibit dates: June 4-27. Artist reception on June 4 from 5-7pm.
