Third Coast Chamber Collective Performance

  • Edge Center for the Arts 101 2nd Avenue Bigfork, MN, 56628 (map)

On Saturday, August 16 at 7 p.m., Third Coast Chamber Collective (TCCC) and guest artists will present the opening concert of the 5th edition of TCCC’s chamber music festival in Northern Minnesota titled “It Takes Five”. The program features single movements from piano and string quintets in a beautiful journey through the quintet repertoire. For this concert, the TCCC’s core members Evgeny Zvonnikov, Pedro Oviedo, and Magdalena Sas will be joined by violinist Irina Mueller, pianist Satoko Hayami and cellist James Rosamilia. The repertoire features works by women composers Grazyna Bacewicz, Amy Beach and Ethel Smyth and will be concluded with Franz Schubert’s famous and beloved string quintet for 2 violins, viola and 2 cellos.

We are thrilled to welcome Satoko and James back to our community for TCCC’s celebratory “It Takes Five” festival. Both artists were part of TCCC’s Adult Chamber Music Retreat in June and have been featured on previous TCCC concerts. Japanese pianist Satoko Hayami concertizes worldwide and currently is on faculty at the Osaka University of Tourism in Japan. A native of Minnesota, James Rosamilia, actively performs as chamber musician alongside his career as a recording engineer and regularly plays with the Itasca Orchestra. TCCC would like to thank our “It takes Five” festival sponsors and partners: Arrowhead Regional Art Council, Loggy Dome, Kiesler Center, Edge Center for the Arts, and the Itasca Orchestra.

If you would like to join in the celebration and support “It Takes Five” and TCCC’s future music programming in our community, you can do so by dedicating a work on these concerts to the memory of a loved one. Your dedication will be printed in the festival programs to commemorate the impact of someone special in your life and you will receive a recording of the dedicated piece.
