CLASSIC MOVIE SERIES
by Jack Nachbar
The January Classic Movie at the Edge in Bigfork offers a delicious grab bag of goodies. There's a passionate love story with two rising mega stars, Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck. There's artwork in the sets by the czar of surrealism, Salvador Dali. There's Oscar winning music by Miklos Rozsa. There's a serious treatment of Freudian psychology. There's a great climax directed by the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock. Wow and double Wow! No wonder SPELLBOUND (1945) was one of the top five most popular movies of the year.
The plot of SPELLBOUND takes place at a mental hospital where Bergman and Peck work together. But things get complicated and scary. More and more it seems that Gregory Peck may be guilty of murder. Is he? Is Bergman in mortal danger?
This wonderful Hitchcock classic will be shown at 6:30 on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Edge Center Theatre in Bigfork. FREE. Your only cost will be a short trip through the winter cold. It will be well worth it.
