Opening Reception: Friday, October 5, 5–7 p.m.
Chholing Taha’s paintings and shawls will be on display October 4–27 in her latest exhibit, “Every Spirit Tells a Story.” Taha is a Cree First Nations artist who draws inspiration and symbols from the Northwest coast (where she is originally from) as well as from the Great Lakes tribes. An accomplished visual storyteller, she uses native imagery to tell indigenous stories and to shed light on contemporary issues. She strives to instill a sense of mystery in anyone who views her work. Chholing Taha’s exhibit “Every Spirit Tells a Story” will be on display in the Edge Gallery from October 4 through 27.
The Edge Gallery is open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and during Edge events. Admission is free.
Operating support is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
